About Artifest Crafts

An art and design studio in Surat crafting bespoke artworks, sculptures and decorative artefacts for homes, hospitality and brand spaces — built on craft, care and conversation.

The studio

A small studio with a long memory for craft.

Artifest Crafts is an art and design studio based in Surat, working across painting, sculpture, mixed media, murals, macramé and curated home décor. We make objects and walls that feel like they have always belonged — pieces with texture, intention and a quiet sense of place.

Our practice sits at the intersection of fine art and interior design. We work closely with homeowners, architects, hospitality groups and brands to translate a brief — a memory, a motif, a mood — into work that is unmistakably theirs, and unmistakably hand-made.

Mission

To bring honest, hand-made art into everyday spaces.

We believe a thoughtfully made piece — a mural in a foyer, a sculpture on a console, a hand-cast clock above a desk — can change the temperature of a room. Our mission is to make that level of craft accessible to anyone building a meaningful interior.

Vision

A studio India trusts for site-specific contemporary craft.

We are growing Artifest into a national reference for bespoke art and decorative artefacts — a studio architects specify by name, and clients return to for the next home, the next hotel, the next launch.

What we stand for

Four ideas that quietly shape everything we make.

Made by hand

Every piece is shaped, painted, fired or finished by our studio artisans — never outsourced, never templated.

Site-specific

We design for the room, the light, the brief and the people who will live with the work — not for a catalogue.

Material honesty

Wood, clay, brass, lime, stone, paper — we let materials behave like themselves, with patina and character intact.

Quietly meaningful

Art that holds a memory, a motif or a meaning — pieces a family or a brand can grow into over decades.

Our journey

A decade of making, one commission at a time.

2014

A small studio in Surat

Artifest begins as a two-person practice making hand-painted murals and bespoke artefacts for friends and family.

2017

First architect partners

Collaborations with interior architects across Gujarat introduce site-specific installations into our vocabulary.

2020

An expanded craft language

We grow beyond paint into sculpture, mixed media, metalwork, macramé and home décor — one disciplined studio, many materials.

2023

National commissions

Hospitality, retail and residential clients across India commission Artifest for signature lobby walls, sculptural focal points and heirloom pieces.

Today

A studio of makers

Ten plus years in, we remain a tight studio of artists, designers and craftspeople — slow on purpose, bespoke by default.

Capabilities

One studio, many crafts.

We deliberately keep our practice broad so a single brief can move freely between paint, plaster, metal, wood and fibre — without losing the hand that makes it ours.

Explore what we do

“We don't make art for walls. We make it for the people who sit beside those walls — the conversations they will have, the children who will grow up under them, the brands that will be remembered because of them.”
